With a variety of activities for seniors – there is something for everyone!

Buckner Parkway Place offers residents several opportunities to get involved, meet their neighbors and make a difference. There is something for everyone – from personalized health and fitness to spiritual and emotional wellness, to social and creative programs, and much more! Each of our programs is designed and organized by our full-time, professional staff, comprised of a lifestyles coordinator and chaplain, as well as health, fitness and culinary professionals.

To ensure we’re creating a community that fits your needs, there are several resident-led associations and committees you can join that provide input to our leadership team. Among these are the Welcoming Committee; Get Well, Sympathy Group and Birthday Committee; Ways and Means Committee (for decision making regarding events and programs); Fundraising Group; Parkway Place Bridge Group; Men’s Activity Club, and more!

Additionally, residents can join the Parkway Place Resident Council, a committee that meets once a month to voice their ideas and concerns for the community. They also request special meals for the month and discuss ways to improve or change menu items. The resident council nominates officers to run the committee; however, all residents and staff from every area of living are invited to attend meetings.

Parkway Place Community Involvement

At Parkway Place, community service extends far past the walls of our senior living community. Residents serve and are involved in numerous organizations across the Houston area. Namely, Junior League of Houston, Pawsitive Pals Pet Visits, Little Light of Houston Organization, Primrose School, Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls, local churches and religious organizations, and more!
