Parkway Place Year-in-Review

This past year at Parkway Place felt full in the best of ways. Residents discovered new hobbies, shared meaningful conversations, and enjoyed fresh updates to our facilities and programming. Some moments were big and lively, others quieter and reflective, but each one added to an unforgettable year rooted in community. As we look back at 2025, these are the highlights that brought us together.

The Gatherings We Loved Most

Life at Parkway Place is always active, but this year delivered a few standout events that residents are still talking about. From a resident-led tango performance at the Easter Festival to a Community Chili Cook-Off to our monthly game show, our community gatherings kept everyone smiling all year long.

Kindness Around Every Corner

Even the smallest acts of kindness and generosity have a way of shaping the tone of a community, and Parkway Place residents are no exception. The Vessels of Joy group here at Parkway Place made it their mission to visit and pray with neighbors who might be feeling isolated, offering steady encouragement and presence when it mattered most.

Fresh Passions and Fun Finds

2025 was a year of curiosity and honing new passions. Whether it was trying something new, or reconnecting with familiar pastimes, residents didn’t waste any time enjoying everything our community has to offer. Bunco with Amy became so popular it now has a waiting list, and the newly energized Garden Club, along with weekly putting contests on the putting green, kept spirits high and friendships growing.

Home Improvements

Parkway Place continued to grow in ways that support comfort and wellness while sparking joy and encouraging connection. Renovated spaces opened the door for more activity, more gatherings, and more moments shared. After being under extensive renovation for nearly a year, the lobby and Brimhurst reopened in March to the delight of our entire community. We also renovated 28 Independent Living apartments with beautiful upgrades throughout the year.

Celebrations Worth Sharing

Some moments deserve extra celebration, and this year was no exception. We loved being a part of each and every resident milestone—from birthdays and anniversaries to welcoming new grandchildren. We had the honor of celebrating with WWII veteran resident Clyde D. as this birthday marks his official entrance into the centenarian club. Happy 100th, Clyde!

A Future Full of Possibility

We can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for our community. Whether it’s new amenities or improved tools that support resident care and wellbeing, there’s a lot to look forward to here at Parkway Place. Some of our biggest priorities for next year are to continue growing our Independent Living offerings, reaching a community census above 95 percent, and continuing our strong trend in staff retention.

We’re so grateful for another year of serving our incredible residents and their families. Thank you for making 2025 unforgettable. Looking ahead, we can’t wait to see what the new year brings.

Cheers to 2026!
