Parkway Place residents know senior wellness is multi-faceted: physical and social.
We’re proud to offer one of Houston’s most personalized fitness programs available to senior adults. We also know that social wellness is just as important for senior health. That’s why each month’s activity calendar is full of different opportunities to be well!
For a sample of Parkway Place life, check out this month’s calendar.
The cutting-edge Technogym technology in the Parkway Place senior wellness center allows residents to establish individual workout plans with our on-staff wellness director and track fitness progress in real-time. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or want to improve balance, we can help you get there.
“Helping residents make and reach their goals is extremely rewarding for me. I love hearing them talk about how good they feel after becoming involved in the wellness program. Just walking around at Parkway Place you’ll see residents working out in an aerobics class, making a piece of art in the craft room or learning Spanish with the Spanish club.
That’s why I love my job: no matter what your age is, you can still learn and thrive. The residents teach me on a regular basis that age is just a number; it’s all about your attitude and your outlook on life that make a difference.”
– Rachel Ramirez, Wellness Director

“I have always enjoyed working with senior adults. For me, the most rewarding part is watching a new resident adapt to their new setting at Parkway Place. Once they get their bearings and begin participating in activities that interest them, the transformation happens! They begin to make friends, set up a schedule and truly fit in as a member of the Parkway Place family. That’s what makes my job so rewarding! I enjoy helping them feel like Parkway Place is home.”
